Ringo Starr Turns 70! July 7th
Ringo Starr celebrates his 70th birthday on Wednesday, July 7th, and WYEP is paying tribute to his musical career all day long. Between 6am and 6pm, we’ll be playing songs every hour featuring Ringo behind the microphone, both from his solo years and with The Beatles. Then at 8pm that evening, it’s a full hour of Ringo at the drum kit, playing with The Band, Stephen Stills, Tom Petty, and of course, with his old bandmates from Liverpool.
