The 12th Annual WYEP Summer Music Festival kicks off at 6pm this Friday with Meeting of Important People. For a full lineup with start times, visit wyep.org/events
The event is free and open to the public. We do hope that you’ll choose to help offset the cost of the Festival with a donation to WYEP. We’d like to thank all of our Members whose financial support for the station makes all we do possible!

The music festival is rain or shine, and if it rains, you can always pick up a poncho at the WYEP merch tent! We’ll also be selling festival t-shirts (only $15!), misc. WYEP shirts, Live & Direct cds, and more. WYEP accepts cash/check/and major credit/debit cards.

StrawberryLuna designed a SMF poster for us-she’ll be there selling prints of both the SMF poster, as well as more of her artwork. And, of course, bands will have their merch with them.

The Schenley Plaza food kiosks will be open and ready for business, and the Oakland business district is nearby for other food options.

Take a PAT bus, ride your bike, walk, or carpool to the show. Besides nearby on-street parking, there’s the Carnegie Museum lot , as well as other nearby parking garages.

The Pittsburgh forecast is calling for a high of 83 degrees (so wear your sunscreen), partly cloudy skies, with a low of 64 degrees, no rain!
